It all starts with a vision.
And in the PLTC that was concluded just today, the metamorphosis is well and truly in progress.
I saw how the Peer Leader Mentors managed the PLTC competently and professionally.
They performed their roles well, in spite of their growing fatigue. They kept their spirits high. They were dedicated to the trainees.
They worked well with the Teachers and portrayed a sense of unity that signified the strength and confidence of the Peer Leaders.
The campfire was truly an extraordinary experience. I've been to numerous campfires but none possess the spirit and loyalty like the PLTC Campfire. So many senior PLs (no I would never call them ex-PLs. Once a PL, always a PL) turned up in a show of force and their presence means a lot to the Teachers, to the current PLs and to the trainees. It's really remarkable.
I am very proud of the 10 mentors who gave their best to the trainees. To Nadhirah, Lim Hui, Huda, Khairudy, Keng Ying, Veronica, Siti Hawa, Zul, Afiqah and Pei Jun, you have done a fine job.
Have a good rest!

This is my first time here so this entry will be kept short and simple. My name's Afiqah and as for now, I am the blog manager of this Fajar Peer Leader Blog. I will post photos, important announcements and updates right here so Peer Leaders do take note. I am still working on the new look of the blog so till then, I will just be posting pictures of Peer Leaders.

About alphabets, sticks, pizza and captain's ball
Some Peer Leaders say that we are like a family. Whenever we gather, there's always a good feeling.
I totally agree.
I think the 21 Peer Leaders (I'm sure we all missed Huda, didn't we) who showed up today did a great job.
I was impressed with the way you all cooperated with the programme i/cs - Nadhirah & Afiqah.
I must say that these two ladies ran the programme confidently. Everything went according to plan. Excellent job, ladies.
The games were really fun, and I thought that the most engaging part of the programme was when some of the PLs shared about their OBS experience. I am sure OBS has taught you valuable lessons and meaningful experiences.
Even though only 10 PLs are chosen to run the PLTC (and you all know the rationale behind it), the School expects all 22 PLs to do a proper job in planning for the PLTC. Let's put it this way - once all 22 of you work together as Team Peer Leaders, and plan for an effective programme on Monday and Tuesday, then you will contribute a great deal towards the success of PLTC 2007.
And we must make this camp an outstanding success.
The captain's ball game was, well, crazy in many ways. Eun Jin shrieking away had all of us curled up in laughter (though she is a competent player), Fareez & Khairudy having their private battle, Zi Ting constantly giving instructions, Siti Hawa's fierce competitive spirit, Zulkifli's mad-man antics...
I hope that Zi Ting's bump on his head would have recovered from Finah's iron elbow, and that Andreyana is much better now from that cannonball pass by Shahiddin.
Pardon me if I didn't take the pizza (though it was very difficult to contain the temptation!) because I am doing the StanChart Marathon tomorrow so I have to watch what I eat. But it's nice to have all of us eating together, isn't it. A family that eats together, stays together.
Finally, I want to express my thanks to you all, for spending your Saturday morning in school. We've got work to do, people. On Monday, come prepared to work and come up with a plan. Remember, Wednesday is set aside for the Approval of your Plans. So you only have 2 days to sort out your respective work. On Thursday, we will make the trip down to Jalan Bahtera.
And as for Nadhirah and Afiqah, do get the photos ready to upload onto this blog!
